  • Research Field : The main cause of global warming is CO2 emissions from fossil fuel. About one third of the emissions is due to buildings. The word ‘sustainability’ of buildings means both energy-saving and comfort. In order to achieve it, the passive design and active design of buildings are essential.
    The aim of all my research activities is for the sustainability of buildings. Recently, I am interested in energy consumption and living environment of Asia, development of weather data for built environment analysis in Asia, especially in China and eco housing around Lake Biwa.

It covers case studies all over the world, including developing countries mainly in South-East Asia region and some in Latin America.
